Everything Must Change

17/12/2025

"See, I am making everything new." – Jesus (Revelation 21:5)
"There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens." – Ecclesiastes 3:1

What if tomorrow could look completely different—if you dared to change today?

Life never stays the same. Seasons turn. People grow. The young become the old. Rain falls, the earth changes, and every day is new. Jesus spoke about letting go of the old and stepping into the new—because with God, every ending can become a new beginning.

I've had moments where I felt stuck—like nothing in my life would ever change. But I learned something the hard way: you cannot cling to yesterday and expect tomorrow to be different.

If you feel trapped, tired, or hopeless, this is your wake up call. Change is coming whether you want it or not—but with God, that change can be powerful, freeing, and full of hope.

1. Stop making excuses—start making moves.

Jesus said, "Follow Me." He didn't say, "Think about it for a few years." Excuses feel safe, but they kill progress. Every "I'll start tomorrow" is another day wasted.

Action Step: Pick one thing you've been avoiding and start today. Even the smallest step counts—God can use it.

2. Step out of the cage of comfort

Faith is never comfortable. Jesus told His followers to take up their cross and follow Him. Growth always requires risk and courage. Comfort zones feel safe, but they are prisons that keep you small.

Action Step: This week, do one thing that scares you—apply for that job, reach out to that person, or finally say yes to what God's been asking of you.

3. Take back the hours you are wasting.

Jesus asked, "What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul?" Most of us aren't even gaining the world—we're just losing hours to scrolling and distraction.

Action Step: Track your screen time for one day. Then set one boundary—like 1 hour less on your phone tomorrow—and use that time for something meaningful.

4. Face what you've been hiding.

Secrets keep you sick. Denial is poison. Jesus said, "The truth will set you free." Freedom comes when you're honest—with yourself, with God, and with someone safe.

Action Step: Write down one truth you've been avoiding. Pray about it. If you can, share it with someone you trust. Freedom begins in the light.

5. Choose people who lift you higher.

The wrong crowd will always drag you down. Jesus chose His friends wisely. Bad company corrupts good character. Your environment shapes your life more than you realize.

Action Step: Reach out to one encouraging person this week. And if someone constantly pulls you down, give yourself permission to create distance.

6. Strengthen your body, awaken your spirit.

Your body is a gift—a temple of the Holy Spirit. Poor sleep, junk food, and endless stress crush your mental health. Jesus rested, prayed, ate well, and honored His limits.

Action Step: Choose one way this week to care for your body—get proper sleep, eat a real meal, or simply take a 20 minute walk.

7. Don't wait for "someday"—tomorrow isn't promised.

Jesus said, "The night is coming when no one can work." Life is fragile. Time is short. Waiting for the perfect moment means you'll be waiting forever.

Action Step: Decide one thing you will start today. Write it down. Then do it before the day ends.

Your New Beginning Starts Now

God's plan is not for you to stay stuck in the past. He has something new for you—healing, purpose, freedom, and hope.

"There is a time for everything… a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance." (Ecclesiastes 3:1 4)

This can be your time—your time to leave behind excuses, fear, and regret. Your time to trust God for something better. Your time to believe that your story is not over.

Jesus said, "See, I am making everything new."

I don't know your story—but I know this: you are not stuck forever. Everything must change. And with Him, that change can be the best thing that ever happened to you.
