SAY “GOOD” (WCIP)

At RISTFOUNDATION WCIP, we believe that finding a way forward can begin with one small step. "Say Good" is a reminder to pause, learn, rest when needed, and begin again.
A reminder for the days when you're worn down.
I don't reach for this when everything is working.
I read it
when I'm knackered—when I'm tired, discouraged, and close to
stopping.
One word helps me find my footing:
Good.
Not because what happened was good.
Not because it doesn't
hurt.
But because something can still be done.
When something goes wrong
Didn't get the promotion? Good.
What can you
learn, and where can you go next?
Contract cancelled? Good.
Take stock. Look at
your options. Make the next call.
An unexpected problem? Good.
You have
something concrete to work on.
You don't have to welcome the setback.
"Good" is simply a
way to ask:
What can I do from here?
Getting beaten can teach you something
A setback can show you what didn't work,
where you need
support,
or what needs to change.
You don't have to find the lesson immediately.
Let the
disappointment settle.
Then look honestly at what happened.
Take what you can use.
Try
again, with something learned.
Feeling defeated doesn't mean you're finished
Getting knocked down hurts.
Sometimes it takes time to find
your feet.
You're allowed to feel disappointed.
You're allowed to
rest.
You're allowed to ask for help.
None of that takes away your strength.
Some days, moving forward means making a difficult decision.
Other
days, it means getting some sleep and trying tomorrow.
Find the next step
You don't need to solve everything at once.
Take a breath.
Feel your feet on the ground.
Look at what is
within reach.
One conversation.
One adjustment.
One small action.
Let that be enough to begin.
Keep this close
When things go wrong, try saying Good.
Then give yourself a moment to work out what comes next.
Rest if you need to.
Ask for help.
Change direction when it
makes sense.
There may still be a way forward that you cannot see yet.
Good.
Start from where you are.
Take the next step when you can.
